PWM solar charge controller with LCD display

Digitally controlled, PWM-based solar charge controller that can be used with 12V / 24V / 36V / 48V systems with automatic voltage detection.

The unit uses Bulk / Boost / Float charging stages, supports LiFePO₄, gel, and flooded battery profiles, and also provides 2× USB 5V / 2A output. It is ideal for systems where reliable operation, simple setup, and good value for money are more important than MPPT technology.

What is it for?

Installed between the solar panel and the battery, it regulates charging, protects the battery, and provides more stable operation for small and medium off-grid systems.

Why is it useful?

It automatically detects system voltage, supports multiple battery types, provides LCD display, and operates silently without a fan.

What should you pay attention to?

This is a PWM controller, not MPPT. This must be taken into account when selecting and sizing the solar panel, especially regarding voltage levels.

On mobile, the table can be scrolled left and right.

Main functions and important notes

  • The LCD display shows key operating states, main parameters, and fault indications.
  • The multi-stage PWM charging algorithm helps charge the battery more gently and maintain stable operation.
  • A LiFePO₄ profile can also be selected, but lithium batteries should not be charged below 0 °C.
  • The PV input voltage must always remain below 100V Voc.
  • The LOAD output can be used for smaller DC consumers if supported by the selected version.

Installation – quick guide

  • Always connect the battery first, then the solar panel.
  • Set the correct battery type and check the voltage thresholds.
  • If used, connect consumers to the LOAD output.
  • Ensure correct polarity, proper cable sizing, and correct fuse protection.

Warnings

  • This is a PWM controller, not MPPT – solar panel sizing must be planned accordingly.
  • LiFePO₄ or other lithium batteries must not be charged below 0 °C.
  • Actual charging performance also depends on the environment, battery condition, and solar panel characteristics.
  • In case of reverse polarity, the system will not start – always check the wiring before connection.

Package contents

  • Charge controller unit
  • User manual
Important: correct operation requires proper matching of the solar panel, battery, and system voltage. In EnergonX applications, settings must always be matched to the given PowerBox, battery, and solar panel parameters.
