Portable Power Station

Mobile power and automatic backup power

Portable power source – tailored to the real task

EnergonX does not offer one identical device for every purpose. The task determines whether you need an EnergonX PowerBox for portable and mobile power, or an EnergonX UPS designed to keep selected critical loads operating automatically during a power outage.

Both product families are available as battery-free BASE systems and as complete systems assembled with a compatible battery. When no standard model provides the right configuration, a customized EnergonX system can be built, or an existing EnergonX unit can be rebuilt.

PowerBox or UPS – which EnergonX solution fits the task?

The first step is to decide whether you need portable and mobile power or automatic backup power during an outage. The appropriate product family, type, system voltage, battery and equipment can then be selected.

EnergonX PowerBox types

CSERKÉSZ, NOMÁD, KARAVÁN and EXPLORER are not separate PowerBox families. They are types within the EnergonX PowerBox product family, developed for different sizes, capacities and areas of use. Each type can be supplied as BASE, as a complete battery-equipped system or in a customized configuration.

CSERKÉSZ

A more compact option for smaller loads, shorter outdoor use or easier portability.

NOMÁD

A practical starting point for fishing, boat use, touring and general mobile power tasks.

KARAVÁN

For camping, motorhome use, longer temporary deployments and larger battery capacity.

EXPLORER

For higher-capacity, more demanding field, industrial or complex power-supply tasks.

EnergonX UPS – a separate main product family

EnergonX UPS is not a PowerBox type. It is the other main EnergonX product family, created specifically for applications where selected loads must continue operating automatically during a power outage.

It can be built with an external UPS/inverter module, a movable industrial frame and a battery matched to the system. It can provide backup power for boilers, circulation pumps, routers, control systems, lighting and other smaller critical loads.

The most important difference

If a load must continue operating automatically during a power outage, it requires an EnergonX UPS system rather than simple mobile PowerBox power.

Several EnergonX solutions

A complete system, BASE and a customized configuration are not competing versions. They are different starting points for the same objective: a power system matched to the task.

BASE models

PowerBox BASE and UPS BASE are battery-free system foundations with the electronics, connections and required protective components already installed.

  • the battery is not included;
  • a compatible battery can be selected separately;
  • it is not yet an operational power source on its own;
  • it provides a flexible starting point for the correct configuration.

Complete battery-equipped systems

BASE combined with a compatible battery forms a complete, operational system.

PowerBox BASE + compatible battery = complete PowerBox
UPS BASE + compatible battery = complete UPS

The exact equipment is always specified on the relevant product page.

Customized construction and rebuilding

When no standard model provides the right configuration, a new customized EnergonX system can be built, a BASE platform can be developed further, an existing EnergonX unit can be rebuilt, or the system can be integrated into another technical environment.

The loads, runtime, voltage level, charging, connections and operating environment determine the final design.

What tasks can an EnergonX system be built for?

The final configuration is determined by the load power, startup demand, required runtime, voltage requirements, charging options and operating environment together.

Leisure and travel

Power for camping, fishing, boating, motorhome use, lighting, phones, laptops, cool boxes and other smaller loads.

Work and temporary deployments

Power for market stalls, events, mobile demonstrations, temporary work areas, measuring instruments, cash registers, lighting, smaller refrigerators or communication equipment.

Industrial, agricultural and field tasks

Measuring instruments, sensors, routers, cameras, battery chargers, smaller electronics and temporary power at locations away from the grid.

Home and emergency use

Operating lighting, phones, communication equipment, smaller refrigeration or other important mobile loads when grid power is unavailable.

Automatic outage backup

An EnergonX UPS can be built to provide automatic backup power for a boiler, pump, router, controller, camera or another selected critical load.

Customized application

A system can also be integrated into a vehicle, boat, solar installation, machine or another existing technical environment.

How does a BASE system become an operational EnergonX power system?

PowerBox BASE and UPS BASE are both pre-equipped system foundations supplied without a battery. Once the correct compatible battery is installed, they become complete, operational systems – a mobile power source in the case of PowerBox and an automatic backup system in the case of UPS.

1

PowerBox BASE or UPS BASE

The enclosure or frame, electronics, wiring, connections, circuit protection and protective design required for the selected product family are already installed, but no battery is included.

2

Compatible battery

The dimensions, nominal voltage, chemistry, capacity, load capability, charging parameters and connection must all be compatible with the system.

3

Complete, operational system

After the compatible battery is installed, the PowerBox becomes a portable power source, while the UPS becomes an automatic outage backup system.

4

Task-specific configuration

PowerBox outputs, inverter and charging options, or the UPS module, connections and charging parameters, can be matched to the actual loads and required runtime.

Battery-independent concept

The EnergonX system is not tied to one battery manufacturer or model. Any battery may be used if it fits physically and is compatible with the system in terms of voltage, chemistry, charging parameters, load capability, connection and protection.

The real advantage of modularity: only what is actually needed is installed

Modularity does not mean unnecessary technical complexity. The system can be built with the equipment genuinely required and developed further later if the task changes.

Inverter

An inverter matched to the required power and battery can be installed or connected for 230 V loads.

Mains charging

Charging current and charging characteristics can be matched to the battery chemistry, capacity and required charging time.

Solar recharging

With a suitable charge controller and solar panel, a compatible system can also be recharged in the field.

Task-specific connections

USB, USB-C, DC, Anderson, 230 V or other outputs can be installed for the intended loads.

Communication and monitoring

Routers, data links, tracking, supervision or other communication modules can also become part of the system.

Future development

Everything does not have to be installed on day one. The system can later be expanded, upgraded or rebuilt for another task.

Powered by EnergonX – quality across the complete system

The Powered by EnergonX mark does not simply mean that electronics have been fitted into a box or frame. It is a quality commitment that the supporting enclosure or frame, battery-related system, installed electronics, wiring, connections, protective components and mechanical mounting have each been selected and assembled according to EnergonX requirements.

Several types in the first EnergonX PowerBox series are built on QBRICK platforms because QBRICK is itself a high-quality professional storage and transport system. EnergonX is not limited to QBRICK frames, however: another proven, high-quality enclosure or frame can be selected when it better suits the task.

Mobility, field use, handling and increased mechanical demands are considered from the design stage. Exact limits concerning dust, moisture and temperature are always determined by the technical specifications of the individual configuration.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between EnergonX PowerBox and EnergonX UPS?

PowerBox is designed for portable and mobile power. UPS provides automatic outage backup power for selected critical loads.

What does the BASE version mean?

BASE is the pre-equipped system foundation supplied without a battery. A PowerBox BASE or UPS BASE becomes a complete, operational system after a compatible battery is installed.

Can my existing battery be installed?

Possibly, if it fits physically and is compatible with the selected system in terms of voltage, chemistry, charging, load capability, connection and protection. Compatibility must be checked before installation.

Can every EnergonX system be used outdoors?

Environmental protection of the enclosure, connectors, battery and installed electronics differs by configuration. Exact dust, moisture and temperature limits are always defined by the technical specifications of the individual product.

Can an existing EnergonX system be rebuilt later?

In many cases, yes. The options depend on the technical condition, wiring, protection, mechanical construction, available space and compatibility of the new components.

Which EnergonX system fits the task?

Selecting the right system requires considering the load power, startup demand, required runtime, voltage level, charging options and whether the task requires mobile power or automatic backup power.
