Accessory

FOVAL 12V → 220V car inverter with LCD display and dual USB output

Compact 12V DC powered inverter that provides 220–240V AC output through an EU socket and also offers two USB ports for charging smaller devices.

The unit delivers a modified sine wave output, so it is primarily ideal for general, less sensitive 230V devices. It can be a good choice in vehicles, boats, camping, mobile workshops, or alongside smaller off-grid systems.

What is it for?

To provide occasional 230V supply from a 12V battery for smaller general loads and USB-powered devices.

Why is it useful?

It is easy to install, offers LCD feedback, includes dual USB ports, and is available in several power levels.

What should you pay attention to?

As a modified sine wave inverter, it is not ideal for every 230V device. For sensitive or inductive loads, a pure sine wave inverter is recommended.

On mobile, the table can be scrolled left and right.

Sizing notes

  • On the 12V side, significant current draw must be expected at higher loads.
  • Around 750W, the input current may already approach 70A.
  • Around 1000W it may exceed 90A, and around 1300W it can reach about 120A.
  • This requires adequately sized cabling and a fuse placed close to the battery.

Use and important notes

  • Always choose the power version that matches the load.
  • Connect the inverter using short 12V cables with adequate cross-section.
  • Install the unit in a well-ventilated location.
  • Peak power is intended only for short-term loads; for continuous use, the continuous power rating must be observed.

Warnings

  • Because it is a modified sine wave inverter, it is not the ideal choice for refrigerators, compressors, some pumps, sensitive power supplies, audio equipment, or some printers.
  • The continuous power rating must not be exceeded; peak load is only for short duration.
  • At high power, current draw on the 12V side becomes very high, so proper cabling and fuse protection are especially important.

Package contents

  • FOVAL inverter (selected power version)
  • 2 × connection cables
  • 2 × spare fuses
  • User manual
Important: this inverter can be a good choice for general smaller 230V consumers, but if the goal is to run sensitive electronics, inductive loads, or motor-driven devices, using a pure sine wave inverter is recommended.
