EnergonX PowerBox NOMAD [A018]-1

NOMAD [A018]-1 is a high-capacity 12 V portable power source in the EnergonX PowerBox family. Built around a black Qbrick System ONE 350 Technik 2.0 transport case, the system includes a LiTime 12 V 165 Ah self-heating Bluetooth LiFePO₄ battery and an EnergonX 14.6 V / 40 A / 0 V LiFePO₄ mains charger.

The configuration provides 2112 Wh nominal energy, an expanded selection of 12 V connections and the option of later modular expansion. The NOMAD version does not include a 230 V inverter, inverter mounting hardware or factory-installed M8 inserts.

Key advantages of this configuration

2112 Wh nominal energy

The built-in battery provides 2112 Wh, or 2.112 kWh, of nominal energy.

40 A EnergonX LiFePO₄ charger

The package includes a 14.6 V / 40 A / 0 V mains charger, which connects to the PowerBox through a red 50 A Anderson connector.

Expandable later

When required, NOMAD can be expanded with M8 inserts, an inverter module and other EnergonX accessories.

How to interpret the weight

Approximately 22.6 kg is the weight of the finished PowerBox unit: the NOMAD BASE plus the built-in battery. The separately supplied mains charger adds to this weight, so 22.6 kg must not be used as the total shipping weight of the package.

Battery and charging

The built-in LiTime battery and the 40 A EnergonX charger are supplied as matched components of the finished product.

LiTime 12 V 165 Ah self-heating Bluetooth LiFePO₄

The battery provides 2112 Wh nominal energy, a 150 A smart BMS, Bluetooth status monitoring, OTA support and automatic self-heating.

Self-heating may activate at cell temperatures between −20 °C and +5 °C, then warm the cells to approximately +10 °C before charging.

EnergonX 14.6 V / 40 A / 0 V LiFePO₄ charger

The included charger operates from a 230 V AC supply, with a 14.6 V charge termination voltage and a maximum charging current of 40 A.

The charger uses a 0 V BMS activation or pre-charge stage, followed by constant-current CC and constant-voltage CV charging stages.

Estimated charging time

For a fully depleted nominal capacity of 165 Ah, the theoretical constant-current charging time at 40 A is approximately 4.1 hours. Actual charging time may be longer because of self-heating, temperature, BMS operation, initial state of charge and the final CV stage.

12 V connections and expandability

Expanded DC connection layout

Two automotive sockets, two USB-C PD outputs and the 50 A and 120 A Anderson connectors allow various 12 V loads to be connected in an organised manner.

NOMAD version without M8 inserts

This configuration does not include the 10 M8 inserts. Inserts required for mechanically mounting external modules can be installed separately.

Future inverter expansion

The finished product does not include a 230 V inverter or its mounting parts, but it can later be expanded with a suitable inverter module.

A connector rating is not an independent load-authorisation value

A 50 A or 120 A connector designation does not mean that the circuit may be loaded to that value under all conditions. Permissible load is jointly determined by the fuse, cable cross-section, connections, BMS and the load’s starting current.

NOMAD and NOMAD+ – the only difference

The only difference between the two versions is the factory installation of the 10 M8 inserts.

NOMAD

Does not include the 10 M8 inserts.

NOMAD+

Includes all ten M8 inserts installed at the factory.

Marine starting function

The LiTime battery’s starting function is intended solely for starting fuel-powered marine outboard engines.

It must not be used as a starting battery for a car, motorcycle, tractor, ATV, motorhome engine or any other land vehicle.

For marine starting, connect the starter cable directly to the battery’s M8 terminals. The PowerBox fuse board, external connectors and cabling must not be used to carry starting current.

230 V and inverter-module expansion

The EnergonX PowerBox NOMAD [A018]-1 does not include a 230 V inverter, but it can be expanded with a suitable inverter module.

Help selecting the appropriate inverter module

Inverter output and design must be matched to the intended loads, their starting current and the planned use. Ask EnergonX for help selecting the appropriate inverter module and mounting kit.

Outdoor, field and waterside use

The PowerBox can be used outdoors and in field environments. The system provides its best protection when the lid is fully closed and the protective caps of unused connectors are also secured.
