EnergonX 14.6V 40A 0V LiFePO₄ Battery Charger
230V Charger – EnergonX 14.6V 40A 0V (for LiFePO₄ charging only)
A high-power EnergonX mains battery charger for 12 V, or 12.8 V nominal, LiFePO₄ batteries. It can supply up to 40 A charging current and limits the charging voltage to 14.6 V.
The automatic three-stage charging process consists of pre-charge/activation, constant-current CC and constant-voltage CV stages. The 0 V activation function can wake a battery whose output has been disconnected by the BMS due to low-voltage protection.

230V Charger – EnergonX 14.6V 40A 0V (for LiFePO₄ charging only)
The EnergonX 14.6V 40A 0V is a high-power mains charger for fast, controlled charging of nominal 12 V, or 12.8 V, LiFePO₄ batteries. During the CC stage it can supply up to 40 A, then switches to constant-voltage CV charging at 14.6 V.
Main benefits
Compatibility
A 40 A charging current is not permitted for every LiFePO₄ battery. Before use, check the battery data sheet for the maximum or recommended charging current. If the manufacturer specifies a lower value, this charger must not be used with that battery.
Three-stage charging process
What does 0 V activation mean?
The 0 V function is not intended to repair cells that are genuinely discharged to 0 V. It can activate a LiFePO₄ battery whose terminals show near-zero voltage because the BMS has disconnected the cells due to low-voltage protection.
The process is automatic. The charger uses a low activation current of approximately 1–4 A to wake the BMS. Once battery output voltage rises to approximately 10–12 V, the charger switches to the normal CC stage. Depending on battery condition, activation may take from a few minutes to approximately half an hour.

Self-heating LiFePO₄ batteries
The charger can also be used with self-heating LiFePO₄ batteries. If the battery BMS initially routes charging current to the internal heating elements at low temperature, the charger supplies the current required by the battery system. It can provide more than 15 A during the self-heating stage.

LED indication
- Red LED after mains connection: the charger is powered and in standby/ready state.
- Red LED while charging: charging is in progress.
- Green LED: charging has finished.
Estimated charging times
The simple theoretical calculation is battery capacity in Ah ÷ 40 A. Actual charging time depends on starting state of charge, battery BMS, temperature and the duration of the CV stage, so it is generally longer.
| Battery | Theoretical time | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 100 Ah | approx. 2.5 hours | Theoretical CC time from fully discharged. |
| 165 Ah | approx. 4.1 hours | Theoretical CC time; the CV stage increases the total. |
| 200 Ah | approx. 5 hours | Theoretical CC time; actual time depends on starting state of charge. |
| 320 Ah | approx. 8 hours | Theoretical CC time, provided the battery permits 40 A charging. |
