Customised EnergonX system
If none of the ready-made EnergonX PowerBox or EnergonX UPS models provide the right configuration for the task, a custom system can be built around the actual loads, required runtime, connections and operating environment.
A customised solution may be created as a new PowerBox or UPS system, by configuring a BASE model with the appropriate battery and modules, or by rebuilding or upgrading an existing EnergonX unit.
What does customisation mean?
When is a customised EnergonX system worth considering?
When the task, operating environment or energy requirement is more specific than the ready-made models allow, when integration with an external system is required, or when an existing EnergonX unit needs to be upgraded.
Special use case
For industrial, institutional, agricultural, marine, event, field, security or other specialised power-supply tasks.
Custom energy requirement
When a different system voltage, higher power, specified runtime, special battery or dedicated charging system is required.
Custom connectors and modules
When specific outputs, fuses, a custom front panel, inverter, UPS module, solar or communication accessory is required.
Upgrading an existing system
When an earlier EnergonX unit must be adapted to new loads, higher power, updated connectors or a different use case.
Four possible directions
A customised solution may be a completely new custom EnergonX system, a configuration built on a BASE unit, the rebuild of an existing EnergonX unit, or a power solution integrated with an external system already in operation.
New custom EnergonX
A completely new EnergonX system designed for the intended use, with custom dimensions, system voltage, battery, connectors, power rating, electronics and mechanical construction.
Solution built on a BASE unit
A pre-assembled PowerBox or UPS BASE unit equipped with the battery and accessories required for the task, with the electronics, connections and protective components already installed.
Rebuilding an existing EnergonX
Inspection, modernisation, expansion or adaptation of an earlier EnergonX system to a new use case.
Integration with an existing system
Development of an EnergonX power solution that integrates with an existing vehicle, boat, solar system, machine, installed equipment or other external system.
What can be modified or custom-designed?
The exact options always depend on the intended use, the loads, required runtime, system voltage, battery, available installation space and the technical condition of the existing system.
System role
Portable and mobile power supply, automatic backup operation during grid outages, or a specialised task related to either of these.
System voltage and battery
A 12 V, 24 V or 48 V system based on the battery chemistry, capacity, load capability and physical dimensions required for the task.
Connectors and outputs
USB, USB-C, 12 V, 24 V, 48 V, Anderson, cigarette-lighter socket, industrial connector, quick connector or another custom output solution.
Inverter or UPS module
An inverter can be selected for mobile 230 V loads, while automatic backup supply requires a UPS/inverter module matched to the load and the battery.
Charging system and solar recharging
Mains charger, appropriate charging parameters, solar charge controller, solar-panel connection or another field-recharging option.
Fuses and electrical protection
Fusing of load circuits, main switch, main fuse, overcurrent, polarity and other required protective measures.
Communication and security modules
Outdoor Wi-Fi router, data-connection device, tracking, supervision, monitoring or security accessories.
Enclosure, frame and front panel
QBRICK industrial enclosure, wheeled frame, custom front panel, mechanical mounting or another design suited to the operating environment.
Integration with an external system
Connection to a vehicle, boat, solar system, installed equipment, machine or another external system.
Rebuilding an existing EnergonX system
An important advantage of EnergonX is its accessible, serviceable and modifiable construction. If the unit’s technical condition and internal design allow it, an earlier PowerBox or UPS can be upgraded, modernised or adapted to a new task.
When can rebuilding be useful?
- when the intended use has changed;
- when higher power or a different battery is required;
- when updated or different connectors are needed;
- when an inverter, UPS module, solar, communication or security module must be installed;
- when the existing construction must be adapted to new loads or another environment.
The unit must be technically inspected before rebuilding. Not every earlier design can be modified without limits, so the final options can only be determined after inspection, measurement and consultation.
How does the consultation process work?
The purpose of custom system construction and rebuilding is not to sell a generic product, but to develop a technical solution suited to the actual use case.
- 1
Initial contact
Briefly describe by phone, email or through the website what task you need a solution for.
- 2
Requirement assessment
We review the loads, starting and continuous power, required runtime, environment, connections, and whether the project involves a new system or a rebuild.
- 3
Technical concept
A proposal is prepared for the system type, voltage, battery, electronics, modules, mechanical design and important limitations.
- 4
Custom quotation
The quotation for the custom system or the rebuild of the existing unit is prepared from the agreed technical specification.
- 5
Construction or rebuild
After approval, assembly begins; for an existing EnergonX unit, workshop inspection and modification are carried out.
- 6
Testing and handover
The completed system is checked against its designed functions, followed by an explanation of the important conditions for use, charging and connection.
Important information about a custom or rebuilt EnergonX system
The technical specification, price and lead time of custom systems and rebuilds are always determined by the requirement assessment, the selected components and the technical possibilities of the existing unit. Direct consultation is required for any configuration that differs from the ready-made models.
Cannot find the right EnergonX system among the ready-made models?
We help determine whether a ready-built model, a BASE system, a custom build or the rebuild of an existing EnergonX unit best suits the task.
