Customized EnergonX PowerBox
The standard EnergonX PowerBox versions available in the webshop are proven configurations for the most common use cases. When a more specific setup is needed, the PowerBox can be adapted to the actual load, connectors, modules, environment and operating purpose.
A customized solution can be built as a completely new PowerBox, but an existing EnergonX PowerBox can also be rebuilt if the use case has changed, if newer connectors, higher output, an inverter, additional modules or a different internal layout are required.
What can be customized?
When is a customized or rebuilt PowerBox worth considering?
When the standard webshop versions do not match the task closely enough, when the unit must fit a specific environment, or when an earlier PowerBox needs to be upgraded instead of replaced.
Special use case
For security technology, industrial control, mobile workshop, marine, camping, off-grid or other special power tasks.
Custom connectors and layout
When specific outputs, fuses, connectors, panel layout, cabling or special power distribution are needed.
Integration with an existing system
When the PowerBox must connect to a vehicle, boat, installed equipment, a solar system or another external setup.
Rebuilding an existing PowerBox
If you already have an EnergonX PowerBox but need higher output, modern connectors, an inverter, a new module or a different use case.
Four possible directions
Custom EnergonX work does not necessarily mean building a new unit from scratch. Upgrading an existing PowerBox can often be a more economical and more sustainable option than buying a new unit.
New custom PowerBox
A new unit built around the required size, output, connectors, modules, battery logic and operating environment.
Solution based on a BASE unit
A build starting from a battery-free PowerBox BASE unit, where the battery, inverter and modules are selected according to need.
Rebuilding an existing PowerBox
Inspection, modification, modernization or conversion of an earlier EnergonX unit in the workshop.
Integration with an existing setup
A configuration designed to work with a vehicle, boat, solar installation, fixed equipment or another external system.
What can be changed or designed individually?
The options always depend on the PowerBox housing, size, battery, voltage level and technical condition. For custom builds and rebuilds, the details must be assessed before the final offer.
Connectors and outputs
USB, 12 V, 24 V, 48 V, Anderson, cigarette lighter sockets, industrial connectors, quick connectors or other output solutions.
Inverter and 230 V AC
A suitable inverter module can be built in for 230 V loads if the housing, battery, cooling and internal wiring allow it.
Solar charging
Solar charge controller, solar input and external solar panel options can be planned for field charging.
Fuses and protection
Consumer-circuit protection, main switch, main fuse, overcurrent, overvoltage or polarity-protection solutions.
Communication and security modules
Outdoor Wi-Fi router, data connection, tracking, monitoring or security modules can also be considered.
Housing, front panel and mechanics
We primarily build into QBRICK industrial boxes, but other housings, front panels and mechanical fixing options can also be assessed.
Rebuilding an existing PowerBox: you may not need to replace the old unit
One of the major strengths of EnergonX is that the PowerBox is not treated as a sealed, final device. If its technical condition and internal layout allow it, an earlier unit can be upgraded.
When can rebuilding make sense?
- when the use case has changed;
- when higher output or an inverter is required;
- when more modern connectors are needed;
- when a solar, communication or security module should be added;
- when the existing unit must be adapted to new loads.
Rebuilding requires a technical inspection of the unit. Not every earlier configuration can be modified without limits, so the final options can only be defined after checking the unit and discussing the requirements.
How does the consultation work?
The aim is not to sell a generic product, but to define a technical solution that fits the real situation.
- 1Contact
You tell us what kind of solution you are looking for.
- 2Brief needs assessment
We discuss the loads, required runtime, environment, outputs, modules and whether this is a new build or rebuild.
- 3Technical proposal
Based on the information available, we propose a configuration, modules, output level and possible limitations.
- 4Individual offer
An offer can be prepared for a new PowerBox or for rebuilding an existing unit.
- 5Manufacturing or rebuild
After approval, production starts, or the existing PowerBox is inspected and rebuilt in the workshop.
Important note for custom or rebuilt PowerBox units
The technical content, price and lead time of custom builds and rebuilds can only be determined after assessing the requirements and the technical possibilities of the specific unit.
