Anderson connector – 50A – gray
Anderson-type high-current quick connector with a 50A rating, grey color-keyed housing, max. 600 V DC rated voltage, silver-plated copper contacts and durable industrial construction. This version is directly compatible only with the same 50A grey connector.
- Connection principle: genderless, quick-connect and quick-release design
- Color keying: only the same color and same size housings connect directly to each other
- Size: approx. 48.1 × 35 × 16 mm
- Cable: typically for approx. 6–10 mm² cable
- EnergonX relation: PowerBox units are typically built with red connectors by default, but grey is also available
- Flexibility: later replacement or an adapter cable between different colors is possible
Recommended use: fast battery disconnect and charging • boat • motorhome • smaller DC systems • solar and UPS systems
- Product code:
- EX-C-A50-SZ
Compact high-current DC connector where both size and color are defining factors
The Anderson 50A grey connector provides a fast, safe and durable solution for connecting batteries, chargers, DC distribution units, smaller inverters and mobile power systems.
This version is the smaller physical size in the EnergonX Anderson range. It is typically suitable for approx. 6–10 mm² cable. Because of the grey housing keying, it can be connected directly only to the same 50A grey connector. EnergonX PowerBox units are typically built with red Anderson connectors by default, but grey configuration can also be ordered, and adapter cables can be used between different colors.
What is it for?
For fast battery disconnect, charging and compact high-current DC connections in boats, motorhomes, smaller mobile systems and field power setups.
Why is the grey color important?
The housing color is not only appearance. The grey housing means a specific keying, so it cannot be plugged directly into a red connector.
What if it has to connect to a red system?
In that case, later replacement, a PowerBox built with grey connectors, or a dedicated adapter cable can be used between the two different systems.

Why is it useful?
- Fast connection and separation, using the same housing principle on both sides.
- Compact size compared to larger Anderson versions.
- Low contact resistance thanks to silver-plated copper contacts.
- Polarity-marked, keyed design for safer installation.
- Durable industrial plastic housing and vibration-resistant retaining spring.
What should be known about the grey version?
- The grey housing can be connected directly only to the same keyed grey connector.
- This means that grey and red connectors cannot be plugged together directly.
- EnergonX usually uses red connectors by default, but grey configuration can also be requested.
- If the user already has a red system, it is not always necessary to rebuild everything.
- An adapter cable can bridge the two different systems.
Installation – quick guide
- Select a cable cross-section appropriate for the rated current.
- Crimp the contact onto the cable using a quality crimp tool.
- Snap the contact into the housing until it locks into place.
- Assemble the opposite side in the same orientation, positive to positive.
- A fuse near the battery positive terminal and mechanical strain relief are recommended.
